And FLoyd even had Floyd agreed to Pacquiao demand of paying ten mil for every pound Floyd comes over the 147 pound limit, and When Pacquiao was claiming that taking blood makes him weak and that he`s sacred of Needles Floyd bent backwards to give him a 14 day cut off date but Pac stilll refused..After Pacquiao turned down Floyd`s offer,Floyd said he`s not offereing Pacquiao 50% cut anymore and that the next time they negotiate Pacquiao has to agree to random testing with no cut off dates.
After 3 years pacquiao finally agreed to testing with no Cut off dates, then FLoyd called him up and offered him 40 mil which pacquiao turned down and aks for 50% which he didn't because FLoyd fights under his won promotional company in and PAcquiao doesn't,so as a result Floyd deserves a much bigger cut then Pacquiao.
Floyd never demanded 100 percent of the revenue in the Pacquiao fight,he simply insinuated that his deal is set up where he keeps all the revenue on his end, meaning he doesn't have to split anything with anybody. While Pacquiao has to split his end with Bob Arum who makes more out of Pacquiao fights then Pacquiao does. Its like that because Floyd fights under his own promotional company and thus he co-financing for his own fights, so that allows him to keep all the revenue on his end meaning he doesn't have to split his end with anybody. While Pacquiao fights under Top Rank Promotions which means he has to split his earnings with Arum where Arum gets the biggest cut because Arum finances Pacquiao fights. If Floyd and Pacquiao where to fight it would be Floyd and Arum financing the fight which would mean Floyd and Arum deserving a much bigger cut then Pacquiao.
Floyd offered Pacquiao 40 mil,Floyd and Arum would have gotten a big guarantee from the ticket sales and overseas showing of the fight because they co-financed the fight. The fight back then was estimated to generate 150 mil-200 mil.If the fight generated 200 mil, that 200 mil would have to be split between Mayweather,HBO,Arum and the PPV provider only because Arum and Floyd is involved in financing the fight, and HBO and the PPV company broadcast the fight.PPV gets half of the 200 mil which leaves 100 mil left for Floyd,Arum, and HBO to split.
The 40 mil Floyd offered Pac-juice was not bad at all,Maybe pacquiao deserved more who knows, and maybe he should have negotiated for more money. The problem lies in Pacquiao thinking he deserved 50% with Floyd which is asinine.Richard Scheafer said it himself,"Floyd spends about ten mil in promotional fees for his fights".Floyd is taking a financial risk by financing a promotion. While Pacquiao is not taking a financial risk.Had Pacquiao took the 50% offer FLoyd offered him and took the test, then e would have gotten 50% and the fight would have happened in 2010
And Floyd is past his prime, just because he`s dominating fighters that don't mean he`s still in his prime.Floyd`s been past his overall prime ever since the Dela hoya fight. That`s when i noticed that his legs was slowing down, plus Floyd`s natural weight is 130,that`s the weight class where he was a devastating puncher at.Even Floyd`s father insinuated Floyd is past his prime,Guerrero also said that Floyd legs slowed down a bit.People think because Floyd is still dominating fighters that he`s still in his prime,in which he`s not,he just isn't shot.
