    Is Marcos Maidana's defense underrated?

He often gets put in the group as solely being an offensive ko artist.

Just finished watching the Khan fight and while it's pre Garcia he made Khan miss quite a bit after the 2nd rd til the end of the fight.

Maidana is an average defender,,, he isn't rios, but he ain't Floyd either,,,

He has about as good as defense as froch pavlik, Chavez jr, Lucas, Peterson

maidana's head/upper body movement is impressive and indeed underrated. people often lump him in with come forward zombies like rios or chavez jr but that isn't true. look at his face post fights.

It is crazy how Maidana's face seemingly accumulates no damage.

Another reason why I laugh at people who think Floyd stops him. His only chance would be accumulation of damage, and that clearly isn't ging to happen.

Maidana moves his head! He's not dumb. Very intelligent fighter.

it's amazing how little damage he takes considering the toe to toe battles he's been in.

this photo is from the ortiz fight,

a bruised cheek and a slight cut. that was an all out war with a good puncher.
