Who said he trades? He sits and defends and counters in the pocket. Trading implies a hit for a hit. But im hoping he does some of that stationary defense stuff.. it will give chino a chance to find him with an awkward shot.

He got where he is with this style. I wouldn't expect him to change. Not for the fans, not for the sport, not for anything.

      He's got his "0" and his $$$. I'm sure that's all he's concerned about.

Yall say what you want !
Everyone says floyd runs however he stands long enough to hit whoever he is fighting.
It ain't his fault if he is. Quicker than his opponents .

There was no "trade" there was no "exchange."

I'm embarrassed for you guys for being pleased with this.

That is a pathetic assessment of "siting in the pocket and trading."

I will destroy any example of anything in the last 6-8 years of Mayweather "sitting in the pocket and trading."

He may have sat in the pocket and traded 15 years ago.

I'm just letting you guys know, this is not up for debate...
Does he have to sit and trade?
Floyd is a boxer not a slugger.
He is fluid in his movement so why should he sit in one place when he can move around?
If you know anything about boxing you should know by now that every boxer has his own style. A style develops because of natural attributes a fighter has like a lean body, slim or stocky built, long/short arms, heavy hands or feather fists etc. The stocky ones usually are not as mobile and they need to slug it out. If you notice Mayweather's body type he's very symmetrical and has a very long reach. That way he can beat opponents using what nature has given him. It's not that he can't slug.He has hardly been pushed into second gear. Don't be fooled, he can adapt to any style because he's the most educated boxer alive.fI need be he will sit and trade but only if there's a need.

Those that say he doesn't really stand and trade are upset that Floyd has come this far in the sport without looking like he's been in a head on collision with a freight train.

Plain and common sense makes no sense when it's Floyd.

"But if Floyd could only stand there with his arms behind his back for just one minute without moving, Maidan will surely KHTFO.

The we can sing and dance to Pharrell's "Happy" and be massively happy.

Still butthurt that Con didn't land the fight I see... So what if Mayweather doesn't stay and trade, thats not his game! Just like Khan doesn't use his head and box his way out of trouble when he gets cracked in the head, he runs for the next 4 rounds like a baby deer thats just learned how to use his legs for the first time!!

He sat in the pocket and traded with Cotto. You can deny it if you want, but he did.

true, the concept of boxing is to hit and not get hit but when u're head lining a ppv, u have to come thru with it and make it worth wild. im not saying u have to be careless but u have to make it somewhat exciting, take this for example, in basketball the game is to make the most basket the easiest way possible, but yet u still have guys doing 360 dunks, behind the back dunks, etc. imagine if MJ never did any of those fancy moves because he didnt wanna risk missing the basket so instead he goes and does an easy lay up every time. imagine how boring that would be.
