Wow Maidana really put on him after the KD.

Maidana can be KD'ed and hurt, it was shown against Ortiz, Khan, and Lopez(hurt him). But can he stay down? Apparently he gets up with a vengeance when you KD him or hurt him.

Kinda gives a look into what a fight between them would be like. I thik they fought 3 times in the ammies, Madaina winning twice.

Maidana was giving him the business tho after the KD. To moe matthyse is too methodical, almost robotic. He hits like a mule but he is kind of predictable. Meanwhile maidana is harder to read and is awkward as hell.

I wouldn't call Matthysse robotic. Someone like Provo or Rios are robotic come forward guys, who literally do the same thing over and over only to rely on toughness.

Maidana and Matthysse clearly use their heads in the ring. Maidana might actually be a more well rounded boxer at this point though. Garcia has done a lot for him.

You are correct, from 1:58-2:04 there is a close up and that is clearly not Matthysse. Good catch.

But as far the height goes, let's say hypothetically Matt was taller than Maidana in the am's, they fought in their teens so it is possible that one just outgrew the other by a lot. I have seen children in my neighborhood who are 5'3" - 5'4" last time I saw them, then they are towering over me at 5' 10"-6' in a couple of years.
