I really don't understand why all of the sudden certain posters are defending Stevenson to the death. I wasn't even aware they were fans of him.

larry do your research. hopkins ducked kovalev. showtime aka golden boy wouldn't make the fight so kovalev fought cleverly. yet showtime/golden boy would make hopkins/murat gtfo.

We all know why... Considering he had Malcom X on his signature and a bunch of references to such movements and looking at his nickname with the X... It is quite obvious.

And he will believe everything that his preferred fighters spew, he swallows that up like the mindless, manipulated fan he is.

Kovalev actually halted negotiations with Cleverly to speak to Hopkins. They didn't agree a deal so Kovalev fought unbeaten WBO Champ Cleverly in Cardiff.

Not much else to be said for that really.

Lol, Larry is going to pretend he hasn't seen the link in every single freaking thread about this telling everyone why Kovalev/Hopkins didn't happen.

See it doesn't matter now that it's Kovalev. Why you defending Stevenson?

People pretending that this argument is about Adonis?

It's about Floyd and you all know it

Though Showtime was ready to televise Hopkins against then-mandatory Karo Murat on July 13 -- before Murat dropped out because of an inability to get a visa -- the network, from what Hopkins said, is not interested in putting him on against Kovalev.

So while Hopkins waits to see what will happen, he made a suggestion -- that Kovalev go fight Cleverly,
