I never said anything like that. I never made any comment about its ok for Stevenson to go to Showtime. You don't have to lie.that was my previous post. pointing out how you contradict yourself.
dunn - pac should take the **** offer.
dunn - stevenson should go where the money is, fcuk the fight all fans want to see.
basically backing up my point that you are more interested in money than seeing good fights.
i like how you have quickly dropped your iv watched more fights than you comment.
I dropped that because you referenced real fans. Real fans are not determined by their opinions posted on NSB.Last edited by The Big Dunn; 03-26-2014, 11:51 AM.Comment

Fighters can face the best and still max out their purses (see: Oscar). But that is not where the sport is trending. The sport is trending towards ******uous matchmaking and cherry picking (Manny and Floyd).
And it has a whole new crop of misguided fans that think this is ok. That is the biggest problem. Sympathizers and new fanboys that value personality over performance.
And this is what will ultimately bring the sport down. It cannot sustain two separate leagues of poor matchups. It will be a slow decline but it will happen. 2013 was a fluke in that the networks/promoters had to whip out the big guns to compete. We've seen already in 2014 that the tank is running dry. This new 'economy' wont be able to sustain itself very long.Comment

I'm a boxing fan. Boxers deserve to get paid. On the other hand, this kind of behaviour is diluting the quality and reputation of boxing. Also get rid of all those worthless paper belts, everybody has a belt these days. Like George Carlin said, pretty soon all you need to do to get a college degree is carry a ****ing pencil. Same with boxers, everyone's a champ.People will say "He gettin paid doe", to which I say: F@ck yourselves fools! Are you guys fans of great boxing matches or of fighters' bank balances?
Stevenson, Mayweather, Andre Dirrell, Broner are giving us brothers a bad name. straight punk @ssed *****es, ducking fights all the time, taking the easy road and not fighting their main competitors.
Disgraceful.
Ali Raymi is the GOAT, give that man the ultimate champ of the Milky Way Galaxy belt.Comment

That ^ right there is the exact Reason HBO would not do it. HBO would have kept Stevenson and matched or beat the offer, but Stevenson would not agree to fight Kovalev.HBO were willing to match Showtime's offer for Stevenson v Fonfara. But Stevenson wouldn't give them a guarantee that he would fight Kovalev next.
That's why they've passed. They aren't going to invest in Stevenson if Adonis isn't willing to agree to their marquee match up against Kovalev.
Now, why didn't Stevenson agree?Comment

You have no idea what most fans instinct is. I posted my opinion. If you disagree cool. But when you discuss real fans- respectfully, you can't hold my jock.
My instinct is to suggest that fighters have a right to try and make money as does any self employed worker. When I discuss this I am not limiting my points to the hbo and Showtime fighters. I think about all pros. The guys who fight at the spots most posters don't go to. I don't apologize for wanting to see fighter s profit off their hard work as much as the networks and promoters do.
Look, we can agree that big fights not happening is a problem. Imo, the bigger problem is networks, promoters and fighters teams realise they can maximise their profit by not having these big fights occur.
If you want to fix the problem I'm with you.Comment
