My instinct is to suggest that fighters have a right to try and make money as does any self employed worker. When I discuss this I am not limiting my points to the hbo and Showtime fighters. I think about all pros. The guys who fight at the spots most posters don't go to. I don't apologize for wanting to see fighter s profit off their hard work as much as the networks and promoters do.

Look, we can agree that big fights not happening is a problem. Imo, the bigger problem is networks, promoters and fighters teams realise they can maximise their profit by not having these big fights occur.

If you want to fix the problem I'm with you.

Give it a rest Dunn. There's no evidence Stevenson was being screwed by HBO, although if you can produce dollar amounts that support that argument I for one would love to see them.

This is about a great fight being derailed by faction squabbling in the sport. Showtime and Haymon have seized the opportunity to wreck one of HBO's projects. This isn't a victory for fighters over the powers that be in boxing. This is one group of businessmen scoring points against another group while the fans and the sport suffer.

Unless you are cheering for one of those groups of businessmen you should call it out as the bullshit that it is. But of course with you that won't happen because it's fairly obvious that you are.
