Showtime is more interested in starting the next WWE, not so much boxing anymore.

These are the folks who rejected Hopkins-Kovalev in favor of Hopkins-Murat because Murat (the guy with no fights in the USA) was more "well known" then Kovalev

Just like when Golovkin wasn't well known, now they want to replicate his success

There is info we are not privy to. Duva has been saying alot in the press over the last couple of days- more than all of last year. She is trying to save face, boxing is strategy inside and outside of the ring. Evidentually yvon /stevenson are smarter than the average bear because they never signed anything exclusive with HBO so they get with haymon he looks over their paperwork and gets them to go over to showtime to see if there is a better deal at play.. showtime offered better and HBO wouldnt match it or go higher so they left (business move). I think her deal making got exposed because showtime now has most of the pieces to have a undisputed unified light heavyweight champ - and the so called most feared is not even in the equation - she is embarrassed, and now its about to hit the fan...

To sum up: an unified champ who doesn't fight the Russian killer... I understand.

Evil Peado Pimp is obviously ducking. Again, how is he making more money facing Fonfara than he would have facing Kovalev???

Yeah, it'll be worthless in boxing fans eyes without the key piece of the jigsaw.

So he's all about money now, but when a more lucrative fight was possible, he turned it down? Makes no sense.

In other news, Kathy Duva "scared to death" of Al Haymon.

I like her, but that's what this reads like to me.

Also, her and HBO Sports trying to cover their asses for never getting anything on paper. "We had an agreement." Obviously you didn't, or the fight would be happening, or you guys would be suing. You had sand in the wind. Al Haymon has an agreement.
