Comments Thread For: Andre Ward-Sergey Kovalev is Inevitable, Says Duva

Now that a unification with Adonis Stevenson is looking more and more unlikely, WBO light heavyweight champion Sergey Kovalev (23-0-1, 21KOs) will have to focus on building up another high profile fight - and that fight may come against WBA super middleweight king Andre Ward (27-0, 14KOs).

Ward don't want none of 175 yet. Guarantee he stays around doing nothing at 168 trying to get GGG or Jr.

Ward will demand the fight be in California with his shady California Boxing Commission officials like Jack Reiss.

He'll probably demand Kovalev weight-drain down to 168.

They're setting their eyes on Ward now?
        Well.... would be interesting.
Would be cool if Ward fought twice this year
Ward can probably make the same amount in the Rodriguez fight too

It has to be. HBO has zero options for both of them.

Now that is a fight that must happen. However I'm sad to say that I believe Ward will duck him.

In fairness to Ward, he's never weight drained anyone. Chad's ****** ass offered to go to 168. The California thing though is a fact. We know he's going to make a big deal about that.

No we don't considering that Ward kicked Carl Froch's ass outside of California.

Main Events could in house it with Kovalev/Chilemba
Ward.... I don't know what'd be available since we dont' know when he's back.

I'm still in favor of Kovalev/Chilemba leading up to it though if it isn't until much later

Didn't Ward whoop Froch outside of California?
