Business wise, it would be best for Steven to beat Kovalev, which would raise his stock. Then he could go on to explore other options. What's stopping him from exploring that option is the uncertainty of beating Kovalev. To that end, it is arguably better to take the path with the least resistance per gain.Comment

They used the time between then and now to work out a deal between the two...both guys get a build up fight then fight each other next.
They had a deal and place and Haymon started a bidding war.

There are only going to be two LHW champs at Showtime after April 19th, and after they face each other, presumably this summer, there will be just one, same as HBO.
So what's the point in Kovalev moving, especially when the "champs" don't want to fight him anyway?Comment
