of course I understand why fighters do it. Im just not in favor of fighters taking easier fights for good money - it hurts the sport

I understand your point - but dont blame HBO for passing on this fight, especially if they had an agreement and Stevenson came back for even more money wit no guarantee that hed fight Kovalev nxt
For reals. Showtime isn't getting stronger. They're getting more names, but so far, none of these guys are fighting each other. They have no interesting fights coming up... Just a bunch of useless tune ups that shouldn't be on prime time.

2014 has ****** so far and things seem to only be getting worse.

Easier fights for less money (in this case).

How much money was offered by HBO? You seem to know so much about it.

Who knows, but a Kovalev fight would be much more. But this is Prizefighting, right?

So why are you talking about something that you can't answer. You keep talking about the money Stevenson turned down. What money? How much? Was it a better deal than Haymon's? Who according to you is is only there for Stevenson to duck kovalev.

Are you trying to say he wouldnt make more money against Kovalev than Fonfara?

I dont know Haymons deal but before he was ever in the picture, Adonis had a chance to fight Kovalev, which would certainly pay him more, but he chose Fonfara. Clearly Adonis doesnt care about money, otherwise he would have fought Kovalev. Oh wait but now he does!!

This kind of hilarious reasoning may exist only because there are many alphabet belts to date... Remember when there was only one world title...
