Trout gets a lot of shit around here. I know he's no world-beater, but he's a very solid fighter. Lara beat him without much trouble. I expect Ishe to be even easier.

It can happen. Both these guys need to win, when you think of it. Lara is on course for a big fight, and Ishe needs to stay relevant. There's some extra motivation here for both men. Smith's problem is that he's the only one likely to get KOed if things get nasty.

im afraid two defensive fighter could bring a boring fight and if it is against lara who is close to a shot with canelo. Tjey use this excuse against lara when vanes. At that time lara was close against to a fight to canelo and they brought trout. Lara shiuld not only win, he should be agresive and look for a knockout

Oh yeah definately, ishe would be the one to get koed.ishe is skilled enough though to make it interesting in my opinion, but i agree that lara should take this fight.

I don't get why people think this is some sort of setup for Lara to do bad.

Isn't this a main event fight? Weren't his last two fights on undercards?
Didn't Ishe just hold a belt?

I thought people wanted to see him take on some contenders or ex-title holders before a Canelo fight became feasible. Isn't this part of that process?

lara is ready and he dont need tune ups. He had to do it because canelo is ducking. For me he is better than canelo and ready to prove it.

What level is that? The level of going life and death with Angulo or struggling with Molina and Vanes?

We can only dream, mayweather will say "i fight for $ not for bragging rights", while he gets a massage from Ellerbe.
