And no doubt. I am sure HBO will try and force him like they should since it'd be the last fight on the contract.

Sergio is going to run for the hills though.

Of course not. GGG is most likely moving up to fight Chavez Jr. However, if ggg beats Chavez and moves back down to mw, proof he doesn't have the balls to fight Ward?

      Round and round we go..

Quit thinking of boxers as gods and you'll stop with these ****** arguments, expecting a nearly retired fighter to endlessly face the new contenders.
Yeah, I guess his streak against the UK bum of the month club counted as "new contenders". GGG isn't exactly a contender though, he's a champion. And god forbid boxing fans want to see the best fight the best.

Sergio is OLD. And has had lots of injuries.

He has nothing left to prove, just as Marquez had nothing left to prove which is why he didn't have to fight Alvarado.

Sergio retires as the Lineal MW, and most impressive MW over the last decade.
          Period.

This, GGG better be worried about Ward after he beats Chavez Jr, because he would have no reason not to fight him, and Ward is actually SMALLER than Chavez Jr.

              ****** logic round 1!!!!

GGG and Sergay are in the same division. GGG has always stated Martinez is his goal. Chavez fight won't happen this year I'm telling you. Read in between the lines with Bob Arum.

I love how Martinez fans instantly use Andre Ward as a defense argument lmao

It will, but Sergio and lou going on on how they only want big money fights.
Saying golovkin is a no name... well if he goes up and fights Chavez jr, who's probably the more profitable fighters in the higher weightclasses, then goes back down, that's leverage to make the fight.

They can bypass the Rubio mandatory with a unification
