Because they are into building up and milking names. This is a fight Julio Diaz needs a knock out to win in. He will undoubtedly be robbed if it goes to decision, just like he was robbed in Porter 1 and the Khan fight.

    **** GoldenBoy.

This will probably be one of Thurman's toughest fights to date but he should be able to stop Diaz because of the size/weight advantage although I wouldn't be surprised if Diaz pulls off the upset if he's fully prepared.

even as a WW he could beat Alvarez & he's fighting, IMO, a blown up LW in Diaz, who gave Khan a little run, not saying much...this shouldn't c round 5...

Ok, this is ridiculous. This dude is their hottest prospect at 147 and the best GBP can do is Julio whose coming off two consecutive loses? I understand none of the big name want to fight so GBP needs to man up and offer a nice check to a big name to give Thurman some exposure. Diego chaves, Soto karrass to Julio Diaz? !? C'Mon Schaffer

Diaz is game but not strong enough to win.
Its the best possible fight out there for him right now,
Who else was willing at 147?

Hopefully thurman impresses and gets a big fight in the fall because
                He deserves it
Your defendin this garbage. How bout alexander? Kell brook? Or wait 1-2 more months and fight porter. Theres gotta be someone better than this guy. Joke

I'm glad Thurman is at least getting some sort of fight. I expect a quick KO of Diaz, if that happens, its more exposure and more pressure to put him in there with a bigger name fighter.

Broner vs Molina, that is embarassing. Why is Molina even on TV?

HAHA see through as ****. Get off Thurman's ****. Chavez has called for a rematch, the least he could of done was take that fight. This is nonsense. Khan was slated for fighting this guy (coming off a loss) and Broner haters like you were predicting he'd fight Diaz to downplay him, now it's ok because it's Thurman? Get a life fanboy
