Look beyond boxrec and BS rankings and you will be on the right road to finding the answer.

      Anyway.....

I'd like to know what people think "the face" of boxing should be and what defines it.

The guy whose fights are the biggest events and/or the guy who is universally regarded as the best in the sport. ALi was both, Leonard was both, Roy was the best while Tyson and ODH were the biggest stars. floyd has been both. Manny was both in floyd's absence.

why am i not surprised to see posters extolling ppv numbers as a reason why floyd is good for the sport?

Its a bad thing that you have to go to the ppv route just to see the best players in a sport.

Imagine if you had to pay ppv just to see lebron, tiger woods, usain bolt, rafa nadal, messi, ronaldo, peyton etc..

i wonder of those athlete's fanbase would brag about having make so many people pay 50-70 bucks just to see them play.

"YEAAAA TAKE THAT FEDERER F@GS, RAFA SOLD 2 MILLION MORE PPVS THAN ROGER!!!! RAFA IS THE CASH COW OF TENNIS!!!!"

                  SMDH.

Talk about having your priorities in the right place.

Probably the worst comparisons I have ever seen in a post on NSB. You aren't this daft....are you...?

you do have to pay for those sports.. On every cable system in the world the NBA, soccer, NFL, hockey and baseball packages are add ons that you have to pay for. Its no different than floyd and manny.

The difference is those sports have more games and local franchises and cable TV deals so you see them more.
