    A salutation to the warrior Miguel Cotto.

    Where to begin?? Miguel Cotto is a warrior, truest form of fighter. He may not have beaten them all, but he damn near fought them all. The fighters on his record are close to mind blowing.

    Lets start with the great Shane Mosley. I actually thought that Mosley was going to beat Cotto. But Cotto traded shots in the early parts of that fight and boxed well in the 2nd part. Funny thing is I swear it was this fight that took his prime.

    Then there was the 1st Margarito fight. Now it's important to understand that even past this point no one knew Margarito was a cheating scumbag. Furthermore he was the 2nd most feared welterweight, (behind the Punisher). Yes Cotto took a knee, but no other higher paid fighter fought a better version of Margarito before, nor after.

    Then there was Clottey, (who hadn't caught diarrhea in the middle of a fight yet). He was still a worthy fighter and Cotto earned a razor thin (W) over him with only 1 peeper. The heart was on display again.

    Then came the Pacman. There was plenty of controversy surrounding this particular fight. With Roach and co wanting the fight originally at 143 and Cotto settling for 145 thinking his title wouldn't be on the line only be screwed by the bobfather into having it in fact on the line. After a very good 1st and 2nd round Pacman overwhelmed Cotto and beat the fight right out of him.

    Then came Cotto's chance at retribution against the cheating scumbag Margarito. (Granted Cotto got a lil help from 1st and foremost his good buddy Sugar Shane, followed by an encore by the Pacmyster). From the 1st time they got inside and I saw Miguel muscle Margario back wards and stay in the pocket and throw body shots I knew the night was his. What transpired was a little piece of retribution for all Margario took, (whether fair or not). Personally I believe he cheated.

    Almost forgot Mayorga. Not cause Mayorga was a beast, but if you're honest, not many fighters get caught with a hook and act like their hand is broken. Cotto did that to a pro fighter. Deserves a mention for sure.

    The there was the great Floyd Mayweather. Cotto put on a valiant performance and in my eyes fought evenly up until the end of the 8th round where I felt he blew his load. If he had the stamina, I believe he could have won that fight. He did however give Floyd possibly his toughest fight to date. (That says a lot) about the quality of fighter Miguel is.

    Lastly, Cotto once again is going to fight a highly esteemed fighter. (Even though Martinez has slid off a bit), the 2 greater fighters from around Cotto's weight class probably still wouldn't dare utter the name Maravilla. So once again it's up to Cotto to step up to the plate. I believe this is the last time Cotto walks to the ring for a fight. I expect Martinez to beat him rather soundly. But I hope that all those delusional fans can remember that it was Cotto who fought the likes of Sugar Shane, Margarito, Pacman, Floyd and now Martinez. Even in loss, greater fighters wouldn't dare set foot in the squared circle with such an elite bunch.

    Thank you Cotto for doing what greater fighters dared not. And going where better fighters feared to thread. Miguel Cotto, I salute you!!

      Funny how he calls someone The Great Shane Mosley and then turns around and calls someone a cheating scumbag. LOL typical hypocrites.

            Not to mention the disdain for catchweights without realising that Cotto has requested them against both Margarito and Martinez

                  Cotto is;

                  An all out boxers boxer, just wants the best of the best and doesn't shy away from a good fight, because he honestly believes is capable of defeating the opponent.

                  Man is destined to be HOF.

                    Why don't you address the hypocrisy that's been pointed out in this thread instead of ducking and deflecting?
