if u look at the rios fight his punches are not exactly the same. the way he throws them, im not sure if he was only being cautious against rios because of the prior KO from marquez but if u look at the rios fight, the way manny throws most of his power punches he pushes it foward instead of clocking it back and then extending it forward at full force like how he would normally do. now im not sure if pac was being cautious against rios and didnt want to clock his punches back in fear of getting counter so instead he pushes his punches forward instead.

And you're proving our point that he has declined. He's slowed down and he got knocked out. That stuff takes a toll. Which is why Rios survived 12 rounds. Whereas, the old Manny would have stopped Rios.

pacquiao never really declined. he just chose not to push the pedal to the metal. perfect example is the rios fight, he was fighting at 1st gear the entire fight. another is the margarito fight, pacquiao decided to down shift gears after he saw the potentially deadly damage he inflicted. same with mosley.

we also saw pacquiao can still rev up the engine to the max in the 4th marquez fight before he got caught.

I've followed Manny since his earliest bouts. Undoubtedly he has declined. The movement changed you can't even call him the energizer bunny now he's just not that frenetic anymore. His punching power leveled out to both hands. His ferocity is nowhere near The Destroyer he once was. What you're seeing is a 60% Pac still better than 99% of boxers out there. ****, he even looks every bit like a Congressman with his shirt off and sports shorts in a ring. This is a part time ATG flighter we are witnessing.
