No. But I think he would've if he had one ounce of true fire in him. He just does this as a j-o-b though. This is not a passion for him. He does it because it's what he's schooled in and talented at. I'll never expected Solis to do anything now. Leading up to Vitali I thought maybe but he just doesn't have that special drive in him. Waste. I did not score it but I felt Thompson won because he was more active. There were a few rounds in which Solis turned it up and he won those rounds clearly, but that was "only" in about 4 rounds.

Some thoughts I agree with in this thread, but this post is the one I like best.

I didn't watch the fight, nor do I care if Solis "won" or not. The fact that he even had trouble with a 42 year old who was never special himself speaks volumes. Solis needs to disappear from boxing.

Bowe may have been a waste of talent, but he was heavyweight champion of the world. Solis doesn't even deserve to eat at the same table with him.

I had it 117-111, giving one close round to each boxer. The closest I could have scored it is 116-112 Thompson, giving both close rounds to Solis.

Solis was too inactive, Thompson landed a lot more.

At the end of the fight, Solis' face was badly bruised, Thompson's face was virtually unmarked.

Solis is just too lethargic. Always fat an out of shape too. Embarrassing loss which should have been a final 'comeback' as a hw hopeful.
