Comments Thread For: Solis vs. Thompson Early Results From Turkey

One the strangest pro debuts to ever take place came in the opening bout of the telecast. Bugra Horus came into Saturday's affair with high expectations from his team. Any dreams of future glory quickly disappeared the moment the oversized Turkish heavyweight lumbered into the ring.

The instead showcase bout for Horus instead turned out to be an easy night's work for Goga Abuladze, a fringe Georgian cruiserweight who picked up a surprise 1st round stoppage. [Click Here To Read More]

Good to see that short, fat, unmotivated crap Solis gets to go away now and disappear. Good riddens. At least no one ever wrongfully accused him of being a decent contender.

This technically counts as Solis's home ground given his promoter is a Turk. So this means alot.

Based on his latest run Thompson's new nick name should be the "Dream Smasher"

And the most ridiculous part is when a commentator called Solis's sloppy, ineffective, missed lunge combinations as "beautiful". WTF??!!!!

Good win for Thompson. Solis had absolutely nothing behind his shots, sloppy. Tony easily disrupted Solis straight right. It finally caught up with Solis, very disappointing.

im never watching a Solis fight again...hes officially done now...im so disappointed in him...i really had the hope that he gets his s-h-i-t together sooner or later but he will really stay a fat, lazy idiot...im so angry...i hate it when a fighter this talented just throw everything away...he could have everything but choose the way to be a nothing...whats even worse is that he will definatly fight till he is 43 and 325 lbs or something

I had 7-5 Solis. He was pretty ****ing lazy through out the first 8 rounds or so, but I think he landed most of the cleaner shots, which was enough for me to have it 4-4 initially. Then I thought Solis stepped it up in the last third of fight, and it gave him the edge on my scorecard.

It was a hard fight to score with had a lot of swing rounds. It wasn't a clear win for either fighter.

I've seen several "experts" on here claiming Solis was a top 3 heavyweight

Of course, the rest of us down here on earth knew that he was crap.

Solis showed almost nothing...I think Thompson was pacing himself and a younger version of Tony would've had that little pudge out of there in 6.
