For a boxer especially with the speed these 2 were going at, vision is critical.

The Pac-Morales I fight was one of the best fights of all time and the 12th round was one of the best rounds ever

But the only reason why Morales made it to a decision was because Moralles made him wear Winning aka sparring gloves.

Its incredibly hard to knock someone out wearing sparring gloves. When Pac got to wear Reyes gloves he destroyed Morales easily and I still scored the first fight for Pacquiao but it was close

Morales is a first ballot HOF. His best days were when Erik had titles at 118, 122 & 126 Lbs. I believe that he actually won the title at 130 Lbs defeating David Diaz but, as it happens with Herrera vs Garcia, the local fighter receive the home gift decision. Erik went into retirement but after almost 5 years he decided to come back and this time campaigning at 140 Lbs. which was really 7th division above where started fighting. I could have been nice to see him face JMM but that fight never came to fruition. He should have remained retired because his best days were gone more than a decade ago.

Injured or not. It's time to go morales, you've done enough for the sport. It's already a diminishing return as you stay longer to this deadly sport.

I don't think wearing the Winning gloves was the reason for the victory in the first fight. Sparring gloves are 14 or 16 ounce gloves. They were wearing 8 ounce gloves. Winning gloves have a little more padding but not that much. Manny just got beat in that first fight, and if they were wearing Reyes, then the beating might have been worse for Pac.
