Totally true,, can't take amateur success and think it will happen in pros,, sometimes it does with oscar-Shane, Shane-Forrest, or it doesn't like porter-Devon...

But the interview with Lucas saying he didn't want none, "on different paths" it's a sign he isn't very confident vs maidana

Or Roy vs Tarver but like you I have feeling neither are in rush to fight each other.

neither of these guys, who are close friends, are interested in fighting each other right now so their decisions should be respected. they are asked constantly about this fight and rich schaefer has an ultimate hard on for making it. i bet it gets annoying. the fight should have some sort of meaning and or greater incentive behind it other than bloodthirsty fans simply wanting to see two guys limiting their careers.

Tough call, but I think Lucas takes it. His work to the body would be a nightmare for Maidana.

Yes, they were at different weight classes, but one guy beat Alexander, and the other guy got routed by Alexander.

Also, you're talking about possibly the best body puncher in boxing against someone with a semi weakness to brutal body punches.

Maidana by a mile. Maidana's power would be way too much for Matthysse. If Molina can put Matthysse down twice, Maidana would knock him out.
