Khan has been inactive. All this waiting around for Mayweather can not have done him any good. He bailed out of fighting Alexander a very winnable fight with a world title prize to avoid any risk of another loss as this would finish off any hope of landing a Maywather fight. This is a very cautious negitive mindset. It is clear Team Khan bricked themselves after the way Diaz showed him up. They now have to find an opponent that is credible enough to keep the Mayweather dream alive but not too dangerous to wreck things. Collazo would fit the bill but is risky.
I feel Khan has painted himself into a corner and must be under a huge amount of pressure, the inactivity must lead to some ring rust and he has no good recent memories to feed off. His obsesion with fighting Mayweather means he may well be going into the fight with a cautious attitude to protect against a loss rather than winning it. It is all upside for Collazo,he has just destroyed Ortiz and will fancy doing the same to Khan and would not be surprised if he pulls it off.Comment

of course i hoped for a better opponent for Khan but still it could be worse...this is like Ali - Frazier in comparision to that crappy Broner - Molina "fight"...Comment

Ortiz is no where near Khan because he lacks the heart and does not train as hard. Khan has been training all year round but this is kinda of good for khan tho e****ally if majority of ppl think he is going to get kod and he pulls off a win. this will actually help his reputation. btw collazo is more of a boxer than a puncher.Khan has been inactive. yup...and what will be even worse is that Broner will run his mouth after the W against Molina like he won against Manny Pacquiao and because of that he would be a top 10 P4P fighter "again" (he was in his mind before the Maidana fight)Comment

I see Ortiz and Khan at the same kind of level. If Collazo can KO Ortiz he can do the same to Khan who is more fragile to a single shot IMO. Ortiz lost to Collazo not down to lack of heart but being nailed.Comment
