Can you name boxing fights in history where the triangle theory backfired?

So 'fighter A' beat 'fighter B', and 'fighter B' and 'fighter C' had fought before or after and 'fighter B' beat 'fighter C', and because of this, the fans and media felt that 'fighter A' will be able to destroy/beat 'fighter C', and it actually did not go that way.

A recent and popular example is Cotto vs Mosley, Margarito vs Cotto, Mosley vs Margarito.

    Can you name some?

I can't think of any for some reason, but I'm interested to hear some more. I feel like there has to be a bunch.

If this is not a troll thread, it wouldn't exist. The triangle theory doesn't work in boxing and when it happens to be "correct" it's a coincidence.

It's a shame someone who I thought was a knowledgable poster actually puts weight on something so mythical and irrelevant as triangle theories in boxing.

Hagler won hard fought decision against Duran

Duran knocked out cold by Hearns

Hearns then knocked out by Hagler

                    or

Tyson able to KO Bruno(both times)

Bruno gives Lewis a hard fight(but got ko'd in end)

Tyson then beaten and Ko'd fairly easy by Lewis

                    or

Pacquiao struggles in 3 contests with Marquez; Ko'd in 4th fight(but probably winning just before KO'd)

                    Pacquiao unofficially beats Bradley.

                    Bradley decisively beats Marquez
