It it because he's Cuban and you think he's made from the same cloth Rigondeaux and Gamboa are?
He's not. I've actually watched his fights. There is nothing that he does impressively. And nothing that tells me he's the next great thing.

He's south paw, slick, great foot work and has arguably the best 1-2 in the game

Why are some people really trying to defend Canelo by downplaying the fight? This fight makes absolute perfect sense. Both of their last two wins are against Angulo and Trout. Lara beat Trout more impressively, Canelo beat Angulo more impressively. Where else would either fighter go from here?

Would you guys rather see Canelo fight the sex offender in what would be an ugly boring fight just to be called a "Champion"? Canelo's team already came out saying before they seriously consider lara they will check to see if anyone at 160 wants to move down or anyone at 147 wants to move up to 155...155 to fight Canelo..are you serious? call a spade a spade.. they want no parts of Lara. I believe Lara is getting more of a kick out of it exposing this fact.

Canelo won't fight him for the same reason mayweather chose to fight canelo instead of the supposed "top 154 lbs fighter" Lara. He has no fans. There's no money to make there. Simple as that.

Canelo is clearly ducking Lara and dumbass are saying Lara would lose because of the angulo fight. First Lara beat trout more impressively I can say and Lara whether you like it not is one of the best 154 pounders and calling out Canelo but Canelo doesn't want to fight him. Boxing has really gotten soft and the fans have as well. I have a question for you.

What to you makes Lara so great? What makes him in your mind the next logical fight for Canelo? Yes Lara looked great against Trout [coming of a loss by the way] but he was taken to the wire by Angulo. He looked mediocre at best against Vanes, and many felt he should have lost and was given a gift against Molina.

What in your mind makes Lara any more worthy of fighting Canelo than say Molina who arguably beat him? Why must Canelo stay and fight Lara instead of moving up to 60 and fighting a top guy there while waiting for a mega fight with Martinez?
