This would be advantageous to Rios of course, because he would then bring his power, which is dangerous.
Hit the nail on the head.

But then again Rios has only fought @ 140 twice against Alvarado and seemed to have no trouble at all making weight. I was at the 2nd fight and at the weigh in and he looked pretty healthy to me. I don't buy the diuretics thing... He's not huge or anything, Danny and Mauricio are way bigger junior welterweights than him. I'm sure a 2nd round with ariza and with an actual world title on the line he will make 140 easy. Provo's team is shook. nothing more. probably the toughest fight they can make for the 1st title defense

Um, maybe this has something to do with Roach since Chavez Jr. has experienced the same (too many parties, undisciplined, having problems with weight, etc.)

Rios: Speak Up Then, Clown! U Wait Until Provo Signs With Someone Else, Then Cry Foul

Provo was very clear... Said he just knocked out Alvarado at '40 and wanted to defend that title at '40. Rios said he wanted to fight at '47!!! Idiot, if you want to fight Provo for his title, then you tell him it's on at '40. Don't wait until he signs to fight another at '40, then spew your vulgarities about getting left out. Wake up clown. We saw how embarrassing you looked again Pacquiao. You get killed fighting Provo at ANY weight. You're not as good, as bad azz, as you and your fans think you are. You beat a b-level fighter who came back and beat you. THATS IT!!! You were a deer in the headlights against Pacquiao. Thank God you didn't sign to fight Provo. If styles make fights, then go fight Thurman and see how you fair. Go fight Matthysee for the same reason. You can't beat either guy!!! Don't let anything but fear get it in your way. After losses to Alvarado & Pacquiao, you don't deserve an immediate title shot anywhere. Go beat up Thurman or Matthysee then make your demands.

He's better than anyone Prov is likely to fight next, however he's delusional about being able to make 140. He also insisted he could make 135 for Murray and Abril and didn't come close. At least credit for trying, both times looked drained as ****
