Cuban heavyweight contender Odlanier Solis has spent the last two weeks in Turkey to get ready for his WBC international heavyweight championship bout this Saturday (March 22nd) in Tekirdag against US veteran Tony Thompson. Promoter Ahmet Oner used the long and proud history of his home country to get Solis heated up for the clash of former Klitschko foes.

solis can enter the WBC picture with a win over Thompson. solis is the darkhorse right now in the title picture. the question is does he have more hunger for money & a title or for a buffet?

its funny how everyone is like "QUICK EASY TITLE, DIP IT IN YOUR MILK BEFORE WLAD TOUCHES IT" and as soon as he's got it, everyone will go back to padding their records again

              he might beat Thompson
but he's not becoming champ of jack shit, except maybe the WBC
as long as Wlad doesn't have it, that belt is up for grabs
got a feeling Wlad won't get a chance to unify with whoever has it
Thompson got Price when he needed to just to stay afloat
cant see him doing anything more important than that though

                Poor Guy

Poor Solis. He is class "D", at best.

Some of these interviews are pure comedy. Oner took Solis to see the sequel to "300" as motivation. lol Odlanier is now charged up to beat Thompson, en route to a heavyweight title. lol I might not be laughing so hard if this guy took his career seriously.

It's a win-win when a press release appears as a real story. The promoter gets spin for free. And the website doesn't have to bother with commissioning a journalist to report and write the piece. Like I said, win-win.

Oh yeah, Solis by MD, in a snoozer.
