    It goes by official results.
Regardless, how does a guy with #2 best win a shot Mosley or unranked Angulo get p4p ranked? The boxrec ratings are a joke

Also boxing is a qualitative sport not quantitative and computers don't do qualitative analysis well.

Compubox is just some person sitting at ringside, pushing buttons every time a punch is landed.

It's kind of like scoring in amateur boxing, and is subject to human error.

Its worse man. Canelo was rated #6 p4p after getting whitewashed by Floyd, with only a tight win over Trout on his resume. Cant even blame the computer, must be an inept programmer

Stevenson's win over Dawson is overrated by BoxRec computer, because the computer is unable to take into account Dawson is shot.

                Similarly, Canelo's win over Mosley.

Still, I like it's lack of nationalistic bias.

Lol Boxrec is not simply computer generated, its mostly human actually. More popular you are or your division are, the higher your rank. How exactly is Canelo #6? The lower divisions are also ****ted on. And they do recognized "robberies", because Danny has less points and Herrera has more points after their fight

No, Herrera moved up because it was a close MD over a highly rated opponent. Garcia is still higher.

If your ranking is low, a close loss to a top opponent can move you up.

Laughable. You can't take Boxrec rankings too seriously.

They count robberies/controversial decisions as legit wins, they overlook lower weight classes, etc.

Chocolatito Gonzalez isn't even in their top 100 P4P. Yep, it's that bad.
