In this fight Lacy will fight smarter because of who he's fighting & what's at stake. We're gonna see Lacy **** him to the body & what happens WHEN not if Lacy lands a bomb on him?Calphony will be in serious trouble & Lacy is one of the best finishers in the game. I see a competitive fight at first but Lacy's determination & pressure will crack Calphony midway through.

I'm among the crowd that doesn't think Lacy is amazing yet, but he has the tools to beat Calzaghe, I think, because Calzaghe isn't gonna be able to handle that pressure. Mitchell dragged the man into a brawl and put him down. I don't think Lacy is gonna go 12 rounds without dragging Calzaghe into at least two good brawling moments, and in one of them, Lacy will put him down.

So, I guess the fight hasn't been cancelled yet....

what's the over/under on Calzone pulling out of the fight? I heard Valentine's Day, so I guess the over bet wins

Alright you have a point there scap but I said to myself.....****ing A!. What do I always do when someone throws me a knuckleball like that?? I send it deep to left.

          I'm calling out your shots.

Lacy does hit harder than Calzaghe...evident some of his victories. He was the first person to stop the canadian tank vanderpool and made knocking Reid down look easy.

I'll tell you what chief. The Ruben Williams that fought Lacy and put on that little exhibition early on would give Calzaghe a run for his pockets.

Oh yeah. And that handspeed of Calzaghe is great against guys who normally operate a snow cone stand.

I dont know if Byron actually dragged Joe into a brawl-all you have to do is swing at Joe and he is ready to brawl (he loves to brawl), for as much as he likes to talk about his boxing skills he tends to throw that out the window when he gets into the ring.

This brawling could be a problem vs. Lacy but then again maybe not Joe's heart has been tested more than Jeff's.

I think this will be fight of the year. Its gonna be action packed. Both throw a bunch of punches, Lacy has suspect defense and gets hit a lot, but at the sametime has a good chin. I dont know too much about Joe but Ive seen he has very fast hands and Lacy will get touched

Joe's weak opposition is still stronger then Lacy's so if Joe fight snow cone vendors Lacy fights carnival operators.

that's my feeling, how can anyone stop Lacy's power? i don't think people realize how hyped Jeff will be for this fight, he's going into the lion's den, it's not as if he won't be prepared or something. I figure with that much going for you at this point, momentum and all, i don't see how anyone can stop the freight-train that is Lacy, from going right through Joe. i don't know, i wish i could see a few more Calzaghe fights to get an idea of what he can take..

For some reason, I've been having visions of Calzaghe quitting in this one, and I don't think of him as a wuss or a quitter or anything. I see something like Corrales-Freitas going down, and it's crazy because somehow I knew Corrales would be getting beat up and suddenly start dropping Freitas all over the ring.

I dont think Lacy should fight smart I think Lacy should think of himself as the younger fresher stronger puncher and he should go right at Joe...because Joe will oblige.

If Lacy is too patient in this fight he will lose rounds and find himself having to pull out a John Elway to win.

Lacy is a brawler and he should not change up now.
