    Really?

    You serious?

    • Soon as Floyd's 1st counter lands, Maidana volume will drop from 100 to 20 or less.

          Calm down.

          • Maidana will probably gas out throwing all those punches. Maybe he should save his stamina and throw maybe 50 punches on average so he'll have some power to his punches.

The reason being is the more he touches Floyd, it is going to take an adverse effect on his lower body; Especially his legs due to El Chino's superior cardio rate. Moreover, Marcos more than doubles Floyd's punch output of about 40 punches per round while averaging nearly 1000 punches per fight himself. Therefore, for Floyd's sake I hope that he is prepared and knows what he's getting himself into because Maidana is bringing hard, frequently and nonstop.

Also, as I've stated in times past, it's going to take more than a clinch and a pot shot or two to stifle Marcos' work rate and keep him off of him. Mayweather's plan is to attempt to outbox Maidana for 12 rounds but with those 37 year old legs I'm not so convinced that he can. At some point, I think that he is going to have bite down and dig deep in order to win this one.
              Props, dog.

              You know your ****.

              • No. He won't.

He'll be the most thoughtful he's ever been within a few rounds.

                • 100 Punches a round is a very high punch volume.

I can't see Maidana maintaining that past 3-4 rounds without tiring and leaving himself wide open to counters.

I honestly believe that his only chance is a stoppage inside 3 rounds - he might as well just unload everything he has got for the first 2 rounds and hope he lands something.

If he leaves everything in the ring then he will have respect win or loss.

Nobody is expecting him to win, so he has nothing to lose.

My thoughts exactly. Floyd has early problems against pressure fighters, and looks uncomfortable e.g. Hatton and Chavez, but he tends to flatten them in the later rounds as they tire and the counter shots he lands early accumulate. Then when he sees them slow down he starts sitting on his shots more and backing them up.

I say there is a very real chance 50/50 Floyd will get the TKOin rds 8,9 or 10.

                    • Garcia's brother put together a gameplan for Victor Ortiz that probably sounded good but it got him hit HARD for his troubles. Garcia's brother worked a coca-cola truck during the day. This Garcia brother is focused on being a trainer. The plan sounds like a plan that's gonna get Maidana countered and hurt. It's easier said than done and the man always says it looks easier on the outside. Something I have to agree with fully.
