Comments Thread For: Fury-Chisora Rematch Final Eliminator For WBO Title

Manchester's Tyson Fury and London's Dereck Chisora will be fighting for more than just the domestic heavyweight title during their summer rematch.

BoxingScene.com can confirm that the fight is a final eliminator for the WBO world title currently held by Wladimir Klitschko. Chisora holds the organisation's International title and a number two ranking; Fury is currently ranked at number six; the number one contender is Alex Lepai, he fights Klitschko on April 26.

The fight will be shown live on BoxNation here in the U.K. [Click Here To Read More]

so at least the winner of this fight will get wlad in the next 12 months. so it should go leapai, pulev winner of fury\chisora? unless unification happens... pulev will be the man getting screwed over again i bet. he needs his promoter to take wlad to court & force the IBF to get his fight for the belt...

So the next WBO mandatory could be no later than April 2015 ? Lmao no way Chisora or Fury can stay undefeated from July to next April, they're both ****.Chisora will fight anyone, yet Fury is desperate to avoid the likes of Price,Pulev and Wilder.

if wilder somehow beats stiverne or arreola i bet fury will get the first shot unless david haye comes back...

I'd expect Wlad to take an optional defence around December time, like his Pianeta and Mormeck fights.he's closing in on a few records and had made it clear he wants to fight three times a year.there isn't anything forcing him to face his WBO mandatory earlier than April,I expect we will see it next March.he seems to have set March as is fight month.he was unhappy he couldn't fight Leapai earlier than April and last year he was begrudged he couldn't face Sascha in September as opposed to October, thus not leaving enough time to squeeze in another optional defence before the turn of the year.

I'm cool with the fact he is taking a few easier fights than all his mandatories one after the other.

what would be funny is if he kept Fury and Chisora winner waiting even longer whilst he unified against the Stiverne v Arreola winner.

Wladimir Klitschko will never fight Tyson Fury. Watch him do a Houdini when Fury flattens Chisora.

this fight being a final emlinator is bullocks. the WBO havent ordered the fight and klitschko is fighting his WBO mandatory in alex lepai. So the next mandatory will me in 2015 lol these promoters use this eliminator tool to try make the fight more meaningful.

That means if the WBO enforces the mandatory, Wlad will fight them

Read the article,it clearly states Wlad has 12 months to face his nect mandatory,12 months from April after facing Leapai.that should be enough time to squeeze in a third fight at the back end of the year after the summer Pulev showdown.

Wlad has his IBF mandatory then likely a fight of his choosing Nov/Dec,the only other way Fury/Chisora winner vs Wlad can be put back is if their is a unification, which lets be honest one of Arreola,Stiverne or Wilder is a much more competitive fight for Wlad than either of the paper chinned Brits.

Warren has done well to have this fight labelled a final eliminator.the only thing that concerns me is it won't actually see the winner fighting Wlad until likely March next year, possibly longer if Wlad manages to set up a unification for the wbc around that time.

I really hope Fury wins against Chisora, and they arrange the mandatory fight for late year.I tire of listening to Fury run his mouth and telling lies.

Perez,Jennings or Charr I expect will be the next in line.would Fury want to risk losing a wbo mandatory title shot by risking a loss against the superior Wilder ?
