GBP always has had **** matchmakers. You have Danny going home and you put him against a guy that has never been KD or KO in a fight. If I were them I would have put him against Antonio Demarco or Lamont Peterson. Two veteran guys but with chins you can crack so Danny could put on a show.

I think the match making is fine, on paper wasn't a bad card. Juanma vs De Leon was a good match up, see how far Juanma fell. De Leon seems to get more aggressive against Juanma, didn't take as many risk against someone like Broner. Was a good fight while it lasted but Juanma does make good fights. Garcia vs Herrera turned out to be a tougher fight then expected, as a match maker these things happen. Wasn't a great fight, Herrera just made Garcia look very bad but gbp take alot of risk with their fighters. Wilder vs Scott was disappointing, nothing gbp and Wilder did, Scott just didn't bring it. On paper made sense a baby step up but Scott made it too easy for Wilder so as a step up didn't help him any. Wilder might be a tough guy to develop slowly, they might have to risk him before they think he's ready cause fringe contenders can't test him.

Gbp for the most part makes good match ups, but they are light years behind top rank when it comes to building superstars...

Gbp has never really built anyone into a superstar from the ground up except for canelo,

Top rank would have made canelo a much bigger star IMO same goes for mares, Ortiz, etc

Arum would have had canelo fighting guys like angulo for the past few years and building him up as an unstoppable force like they did manny

GBP didn't build Canelo from the ground up, I think his first fight with them was against Jose Miguel Cotto. GBP stole Canelo from some small time promoter.

And they didn't really build Mares either. Mares fought through murderers row and just exceeded expectations in my opinion.

So yeah I definitely agree with your point that Top Rank is miles ahead of GBP in building fighters. I expect Top Rank to build Felix Verdejo and Oscar Valdez into huge stars.

Eric Gomez is pos. I remember when he was going ape s!!! Screaming at the ref to disqualify Molina when he fought Kirkland. Which the ref did. That was such bs Molina fought his heart out and was dominating Mandingo. U can tell that ref was paid off by gb. Sorry off topic but I can't stand that mf er.
