I still had Garcia up by two rounds even after watching it again. But every damn round was close. People are so quick to jump a bandwagon when a fighter looks normal against an opponent. Yet ppl were so quick to jump on when Danny beat Matthysse. Herrera is one of those tough veteran opponents that don't make top fighters look like top fighters. Veteran fighters like Carlos Molina, Gabe Rosado, Soto Karass, Josesito Lopez, and Brian Vera are crafty veterans that will not crack hard, but they throw volume of punches and make the best look ordinary.

        Completely agree.

He didn't look good to me at the Matthysse weigh in.

I've not seen the Herrara fight yet so I can't really talk on that but I do feel 147 would be a better weight for him now.

If he fought Provodnikov with the same intuition that he fought last night he will get layed out point blank. I've got Provo giving him headaches all night anyway.

Please don't get it twisted, I think Danny G is a good fighter, but nothing spectacular. I don't believe he's a paper champ but definitely nothing special at least at the moment.
Danny vs Provo would be a hell of a fight, but people has to stop talking how Provo would beat Danny. Did Provodnikov beat Herrera? Provodnikov will be eating left hooks all night against Danny. Herrera has an A class defense and ring movement, so people has to stop talking that nonsense about Provo beating Danny. Provo has C or D level defense and the only way you get a chance of beating Danny is with Herrera's gameplan, which takes a lot of defense, experience, power, and physical condition. Herrera didn't have the power, which Provodnikov has, but he lacks the defense, which was very important in Herrera's shot last night. Garcia vs Provodnikov would be very similar to Garcia-Matthysse, IMO...

Absolutely. I was telling people Herrera Is a crafty and smart boxer, his ring dossier says it all "el maestro". Garcia is definitely a lot better than what was displayed last night. The thing is he was thinking he can **** him out with one shot and a counter thinking he can't catch him. Danny will beat him in a rematch once he understands what his father was telling him was the correct thing to do. Bend your knees, step to left and focus solely in throwing the right hand. His dad also told him to throw the uppercut and follow with the right hand. Garcia had success with the uppercut to the body but he was too in love in the with left hook so his misses with that didn't make him look great. I'll tell you right now his previous opponents is not beating Herrera and unlike Danny you will see them look completely outclass. As hey are more brawler type than boxer like Garcia. My scored was three points ahead for Garcia after the second viewing, I noticed Herrera missed a lot and the replays only showcased the very few shots he connected and missed out on Garcia who connected more.

Garcia getting run out of the division by Mauricio Herrera?

                Give the man his rematch.

Actually I think both Timothy Bradley and Mike Alvarado both have better chances sealing the deal against a Herrera. And Provodnikov beat both of them. Yes, Provo beat Bradley. So that statement is actually well placed.

After the Lucas fight Garcia immediately said he will go north at 147. But the kid is lazy.

Are you freaking kidding me. Provo didn't beat Hererra, but he sure did beat the breaks off of Bradley, and Alvarado...gave them boys concussions. Both whom by the way are well tested champions. I think Bradley has a way higher work rate and better conditioning then Garcia and would run Herrera down because of his extreme conditioning. And Alvarado is a better boxer and perhaps even a better slugger then Garcia as well. Provo will mop the floor with him, mark my words. And the only thing he(Provo) really needs to improve on is his jab and a little defense wouldn't hurt. Furthermore, I like Garcia but please believe, he need not venture off into the welterweight division just yet. Fight Provo. Provo proved to all of us with his fight against Bradley and showed everyone what was up. That showed his relevance right there alone. He'll knock Danny and his fathers big mouth ass out.. Now in the words of Samuel Jackson in 'Django', believe that!!!
