Did Malik Scott take a dive against Wilder?

A short, uneventful fight like that defeats the purpose of a dive. The only way it would make sense is if he was heavily favored, which he wasn't.

If Scott wasn't told to dive, then he decided to do it on his own.

He knew he wasn't ever going to win that fight, so why take a beating when the outcome is already certain?

It's not like he gets paid more the longer he stays up. He did the absolute minimum required to get paid, and no more.

He didn't just go down in the first round, he went down with the first punch. And the whole time his eyes were clear as day and he didn't look rattled at all.


Maybe Wilder is the real deal, but THIS fight didn't prove anything.

But it happened, there is no way I could be convinced that was a legit ko or he was that badly hurt from an open handed slap, the right hand didn't land at all, boxing is a very shady sport who knows why it happened.
