dude, you tell me how many ppvs events floyd has fought in the cinco de mayo or sep weekend and compare them with the 2 that you mentioned. i also belive at the time a young jeff lacy and ponce deleon were on the undercard of the hatton fight. ask floyd why he went on and booked for may 3rd?lmfao....
So does that mean if Terrence Crawford fought Ricky Burns on May 3rd,the PPV numbers would be through the roof?Floyd fought Hatton in December of 07 and Floyd fought Guerrero on May 3rd or 4th of 2013.But the Hatton fight did better then the Guerrero fight,so that disputes your lame argument.Comment

This is all according to Showtime and the guy's promoter... No thanks.

It would be against the law for Showtime which is part of a publicly traded company to release false information like that. Arum and GBP can lie because they are privately held thus held to a much lesser standard. Whatever Showtime and HBO say is at the very least to the best of their knowledge, as they would not risk that sort ordeal over such small potatoes.Comment

[QUOTE=Fidel456;14326526]Partial right. Most people that buy floyds ppvs r Mexicans. That's y he fights a Hispanic fighter every cinco de mayo holiday weekend. That's y he's always saying "I love Mexico" cause he's getting paid. People don't even know if u really don't like him the best thing to do is not buy his ppv. He really can't sell on his own though he needs a Hispanic fighter or pacquiao or Mexican fighters in his undercard for him to sell. If u don't believe me please
Floyd has sold more ppv than any fighter in the history of the sport. hatton, guerrero, and ortiz had never headlined a ppv before and floyd made those fights a big deal. de la hoya fought trinidad, hopkins, chavez twice, vargas mosley twice, whitaker, camacho, pacquiao, mayorga and none of those fights even came close too mayweather vs de la hoya. floyd is more popular than he gets credit forComment

So what. Canelo's a good fighter who draws well. And he fights in a very good weight range. Anybody from 47-60 would love to get a shot at Ginger. And he's good enough to compete with most everyone in that range. There's nothing bittersweet about it. Its good news.Comment

Word. Just nailed it.hey paisano. The worst part is they believe they made a great fight with angulo and protecting canelo. Is incredible how they make silly and predictable fights and then believe his winner is a great fighter. I want to see real fights instead this manipulation!!!, only ******s can believe in boxing like this. Fortunely in thise numbers im not counted
Too many faked overhyped lowskilled brawlers calling themselves a boxers. Too many fake champions. Too many meaningless mismatches. Too many bogus fights.
And look at UFC for instance... one division champion, best fighting best.
That's what am talkin about pal.Comment

Floyd fan logic = Mayweather vs. Canelo did 2.2 million PPVs, Canelo vs. Angulo did 350,000 PPVs, so subtract 350,000 from 2.2 million and Floyd is responsible for 1,850,000 PPV buys.
350,000 is a GREAT number for Canelo. Looks like we have our next PPV star when Mayweather, Pacquiao, Cotto, and Marquez are gone within the next two years.
Who is Canelo's competition? Julio Cesar Chavez Jr.? Tim Bradley,
?

This is good it shows that people still want to see Canelo. Kid is talented and will prove to be one of the best fighters pound for pound. Just give him a few more fights and he will be there. People are gonna have no choice to pay to see him and this is only good for the sport of boxing. May and Pac are almost done So as long as Canelo keeps winning he will be the face of boxing.Comment
