dude, you tell me how many ppvs events floyd has fought in the cinco de mayo or sep weekend and compare them with the 2 that you mentioned. i also belive at the time a young jeff lacy and ponce deleon were on the undercard of the hatton fight. ask floyd why he went on and booked for may 3rd?lmfao....

Jeff Lacy fought Peter Manfredo on that Mayweather card and that was only one fight removed from him getting eviscerated by Calzaghe so that certainly not young Lacy.

Ponce come on, no one really cares about Ponce fights he is good and all and had some success but he is no kind of draw especially if he doesn't have a solid dance partner and I don't think Eduardo Escobedo counts as a solid dance partner.

Still don't understand how people truly believe that Mayweather has little to do with the numbers, smh! Partial right. Most people that buy floyds ppvs r Mexicans. That's y he fights a Hispanic fighter every cinco de mayo holiday weekend. That's y he's always saying "I love Mexico" cause he's getting paid. People don't even know if u really don't like him the best thing to do is not buy his ppv. Welp, I guess this debunks the notion of Canelo being responsible for Mayweather's PPV numbers. Canelo by himself only gets 350,000 buys. Now all the May haters have to find another way to try to discredit the dude.

Both guys are responsible for the PPV sells I bet you anything, Mayweather will not, get 2 mill fighting anybody else, and I doubt Mariana vs May will generate 1 mill And will all know Mayweather is not figthing the one (pacman) that could break the record set by Mayweather Canelo, also he is not fighting GGG that could make 1.5 mill, All other fights will genearate less than a mill, .Cotton could help it to go up to 1.2 but that it. So like it or not yes Canelo had A lot to do with the PPV numbers.

hey paisano. The worst part is they believe they made a great fight with angulo and protecting canelo. Is incredible how they make silly and predictable fights and then believe his winner is a great fighter.
