you're absolutely right, i stand corrected. People are more familiar with his music than the man himself, I'm sure alot of people have at least heard his music since they're timeless

I would say anyone under the age of 40 would be very hit and miss with none just recognizing him on sight unless you are a music buff or happen to come from the area where he lives like me.Comment

Agree 100%. I happen to be well over 40, and a big-time music lover. I think, like Maya**** suggested, most people would be more familiar with his music than with him. Hell, I think most people wouldn't even know who Mick Jagger is, and he's even more famous IMO.Comment

Indeed, people would know his songs no doubt but if they knew who actually performed them is another question.
I think more would know Jagger that are younger but only because his name appeared in several recent songs, but I would say it would be the same for him people would recognize Stones songs but they might not have a clue Mick was a part of the Stones.Comment

Music is such a generational thing, too. People tend to know the artists of their youth. As they get older, and lose touch with pop culture in general, they lose touch with music specifically. I try to stay current...and it ain't easy. I'm familiar with most well-known celebrities, but it's tough to stay up-to-date when your interest level isn't so high anymore.Indeed, people would know his songs no doubt but if they knew who actually performed them is another question.
