How do go about approaching fighters for pics/autographs in live fights?

I used to get a lot of signed gloves at fights... Always be prepared with a sharpie/marker.
Out of all the fighters I've got to sign on 3 refused
1. Roy Jones- big ****head.
2. Bernard Hopkins- same as #1.
3. Tommy hearns- said he wouldn't sign a glove because people sell them but was cool taking a picture.Comment

I saw Roy Jones Jr in the 90s in the 1-train in NYC, he was wearing a Jordan tracksuit and was with this other big black dude, he sat right across from me, lol this is the only story I have of seeing a boxer, it's my 100th time saying it. I was a child and was just start struck, I had no idea what to say other than whisper to my pops "That's Roy Jones" and my dad said yes but leave him alone. Roy Jones was serious as hell, he looked like a bad ass.
I also saw Joseph Agbeko in downtown 3 years ago, I did not approach him either, this time I just didn't want to, I really didn't care
I'm a small guy but man Joseph Agbeko was really small.
That's a cool story about RJJr, one would figure he'd be more outgoing, given his flashy style.Comment

Go up to him and say
Hey *** head if it wasn't for fans like me you wouldn't be getting paid so sign my sh it and take a picture with me.
They are usually thrown off and they sign and take pictures
But say it with a creepy smile

I have such a hardtime believing that about RJJr and BHop, they just seem so cool.Comment

At Donaire/Arce I was sitting a single table away from Rigondeaux while he was eating. It was at the restaurant/bar lounge in the arena. Dude ordered some nachos and in an hour literally had the time to eat like 2 chips. There was a line of dudes getting pictures with him. Just one after the other for damn near an hour straight. To his credit he was chill as f**k about the whole thing but I kinda felt bad for the dude.Comment

Its pretty easy to meet and greet them at press conferences in NYC. but lately theyve only held it for the press/media inside. Luckily ive had an insider.
Yea Pacquiao, Bradley have all been really chill to get your pic/autograph signed. U just gotta be quick cuz once theres a crowd thats when they leaveComment

Bhop looked at me in disgust and said I don't sign anything. This happened at the hotel before Mosley vs margarito. Naazim, bhop, Shane were all staying at the same hotel I was at. Shane was cool- saw him after the fight in the lobby.
Roy Jones- I've seem him blow off fans at least 3 seperate times.Comment

Going to the Garcia fight saturday, and I'm absolutely stoked. It's the first fight I'm attending live, and I'm probably hitting the weigh in tomorrow as well.
Thing is, I'm really hoping to meet some fighters there. I know it's unlikely I get a chance to talk the the guys who are actually fighting, but surely guys like Tito and Calderon will be there. I'm also hoping to meet Paulie (I'm assuming he's calling the fight for Showtime).
At any rate, I've seen a bunch of posters here telling stories of how they met certain boxers during a live event, so I'm wondering, do you just look around and hope to see someone, and then approach them or what??
Lol, sounds ******, but I'm totally clueless (not to mention excited).
Thanks!
I just called them by their name and they would respond. I would follow it with a short "Big fan" for all lol and then proceed to take the photo.
I took a photo with Trinidad after the Juanma-Salido II fight... He was awesome. VERY approachable, he loves the attention too lol.
By the way, I'm going to the fights too this Saturday!! Should be a very entertaining card!!Comment
