he did beat ezzard charles twice in classics who was one of the most under rated champs we have ever had. Granted this was after charles killed a man in the ring and people think he was never the same but those 2 wins cant be discredited. It was the fight he basically lost his nose

He fought the best his devision and the lightheavyweight division had to ofer so show him some respect:*******:

Just because he wasn't flashy doesn't mean he didn't have skills. He looked like a bum until you got in the ring with him just ask all time great Archie Moore

My thoughts exactly. He beat the man who took the title from Louis... He beat a KO artist in Moore who in my view many middleweight's and Light-heavyweight boxers now would be frightened of. The man is the definition of what is a champion!

Marciano was just at the right place at the right time. No way he would be a champion in the 60s, 70s, etc. For his time he was good but that's not saying much.

Marciano would have made easy work of liston, frazier, Patterson, Foreman. .. for the reason being Marciano had incredible stamina... Ali would have passed some what of a problem but the fact is Rocky had 2× the power of Frazier and 2× the chin of anyone Ali had ever faced.

Yes. And his record still holds up to this day. That's strong. People just like to hate on him cause he's not Ali. But he was a good fighter in his own right. Marciano was his own man. Ali based himself after Sugar Ray Robinson.

I notice when whites dominate the hw division, its because of "a weak era". When Blacks do it, "they're legendary".
