A LOT......and I mean A LOT of people never thought Canelo would fight Austin Trout, coming off the Delvin and Cotto wins, when he was undefeated and basically the #1-2 fighter at 154. So don't automatically rule this out as cheap talk.

I think Canelo knows he needs to fight Lara pretty soon. People have been talking about that fight since before Canelo fought Trout. And Canelo is absolutely capable of beating Lara, but I'm picking Lara if it happens, going with my guy.

But this fight should happen in July, then the winner could fight the Cotto-Martinez winner later in the year possibly.

WTf is this agreed weight ****?? If you cant make the weight move up doesn't make sense to pay out you butt just to have advantage over people, **** don't seem right to me to be done as a strategy seems like pay to have another advantage type of thing if he can't make the weight move up. Fight Lara first tho or thou shalt be named Ducknelo hence forth

Give Mundine a shot.

I hope Canelo's management consider Anthony Mundine for their next one or two fights. If Mundine can beat Clottey next month, I believe he should be in consideration for a Lara, Cotto or Canelo bout and I hope it is Canelo. The former WBA super middle weight champ is yet to lose a fight at junior middle and I would love to see him against some of the big names. Unfortunately, despite destroying Mosley, I don't think much can be taken from beating the ageing fighter. Clottey will be a step up and depending upon how well he does in this fight, Mundine should be in consideration for the big names if successful.

Mundine doesn't deserve a big name fight. He only wants a big name to cash out. He had his chance to fight in the states against trout but pulled out and fought a bum! Now he's older and wants the money off a big name. Old mate that lays drains for a living took the fight with a couple weeks notice and went the distance. And the Mosley fight... Can't really claim u stopped a guy who quit from a back problem. Not really the same as beating him up that bad he had to quit. And now clottey... Who has been really inactive the last few years. I think its a case of to little to late for mundine!
