We can argue all we want about whether he's " truly" Puerto Rican or not that to me isn't what I see here. What I see is Danny in a tough fight against a tough Mexican with nothing to lose.
If Danny goes into the fight trying to hard to impress, or too hard looking for. KO he could find himself in trouble.

And has Danny's face always looked like that.? He looks a bit starved.

Garcia at best is a temporary stop gap. The honeymoon would end in a second as soon as the ink dries on a contract where he fights a fighter from the island. Then he becomes the outsider, the opponent, the intruder. No one said he wont receive SOME support for this fight because he is better than nothing for them right now. But it comes with a huge caveat.

He is not one of them, he knows it and they know it!! That is why he is trying so hard!!!! NO ONE has to try hard to be something if they already are that something!!!! OBVIOUSLY he is not! He is not one of them or he would not be begging them to accept him!! He is not a part of the island culture, he has not broken bread with them ongoing, lived in their shoes, walked through their lives, understood first hand the depth of what they go through, experience, see, touch, and feel from the inside of their amazing lives and THAT is what it takes to be one of them!

Saturday they will praise him, they will enjoy him in a LIMITED sense, but don't expect if he fights one of their people the same treatment; those cheers will turn to BOOS and he will wonder why. They will let him know he was never one of them, he already knows that inherently because he has been begging for their support. The "I'm coming home" crap is ridiculous because less than 24 hours after the flight, he will be gone with the wind on a flight!

But his BEGGING for their support and contrived marketing ploy and feeble attempt to rep them is as hilarious as your ignorance to not see through those shallow attempts. Ignorance is not bliss, if it was, you and some others would be in 7th heaven. Consider yourself as of now educated. I except no personal checks, cash or paypal only.

Are you Spanish 'Richard' and do you live in PR? Because I get the feeling that you don't. Do you ever STFU about Garcia being PR like it's your constitutional right to exercise a speech-a-thon in every thread about him as if we're suppose to care? No, I think not.

"As if we're supposed to care?". Speak for yourself. If you want to remain ignorant about culture and territorial psychology, that is your choice, otherwise STFU. Dont let the door hit you in the butt on your way out. You are dismissed

            Question.

Why does Garcia feel the need to be holding a PR flag? Notice none of the real PR are doing the same.

            He's trying so damn hard...

¿Mad support? People here are more interested in the Juanma/Ponce De León fight & many expect Juanma to get KO'd this time around. & at the venue they are fighting at(Juan Ramón Lubriel in Bayamón) it could hold a little over 10,000 seats & so far only a little over 3,000 seats have been sold, so ¿Where's the mad support?
Lol dude getting exposed for talking out of his ass.

Unconditional , conditional blah blah blah. You are reaching my friend. Trying to break this down like its chemistry or some ****.

Not all P.R.s support Cotto. Not all P.R.s support Juanma. Not all P.R.s support Danny. Big deal.

You are so devoted to this Danny/P.R thing my god its fkn sad..

                Educate me?? On what??

The reality is one. Danny wasnt raised in P.R. so obviously he wont get the same love as Cotto or others. But dont fool yourself. We know who he is and he is still hetting support.

Why is this Danny subject keeping you up at night so much??

Thats what I want to know.

So , you are not supporting Danny??

I have to say my support for Juanma is not at an all time high. Its still there. I guess its expectations.

I know the people I know all know him and support him. I was supposed to go to the fight but had to cancel. From my family and friends over there was a group of around 15 going interested in seeing both Juanma and Garcia. I was there in December and for the most part people knew who he was.

This "he is not P.R." thing is so sad. There are guys on full time duty on the subject. Pathetic.....
