It's painted by people with a pair of working eyes and those who aren't utterly desperate to retain their coveted contrarian role.

@ six years worth of clinching and grabbing being instigated by his opponents smothering their own work. Watch the first round of the Mormeck fight, you absolute dolt - that's the only evidence you need.)

Everyone else on Frazier's resume ******. However, he did have 5 fights against 2 good tall boxers. He managed to win one of those 5 fights. So in action, his style has proven to work 20% of the time when he's facing a GOOD tall heavyweight.

If Frazier's resume ******, what the **** does that say about Wlad's? Christ, the last thing a Wlad advocate needs in his argument is attacking other people's quality of opposition.

That single win/performance over Ali eclipses Wlad's entire record. Wlad would have collapsed in a giant heap after two rounds at that sort of pace.

They smother themselves 90% of the time by expecting Wlad to accommodate them on the inside and let them throw wild shots while he is just supposed to stand there and cover up. It doesn't work.

First you have to show some success from the outside, and perhaps hurt him if you want to get the chance on the inside and finish him off. Expecting him to accommodate you even though he is a lanky fighter and wouldn't do too well trying to punch down on his opponent, is like asking Shaq O'neal to abandon his Center position and play shooting guard.

Just looking at Fraziers record against the 2 best boxers he faced is ridiculous. He beat several good, tall boxers. Buster Mathis, Joe Bugner (longer reach than Wlad!) as well as Ali. He knew how to handle himself against tall boxers.

Empirical evidence using a little bit of intuition would suggest that Harry Grab gets his ass kicked not only by Hopkins but by the vast majority of Hopkins' Middleweight opponents during his Title reign. No way that stuff holds up in a Mid-90's early 2000's Middleweight environment. I don't care if his record is 500-3.

Today's boxers practice what yesterday's boxers preached.

Guys like Dempsey/Marcianno had a lot to say on boxing strategy but never actually carried it out. They'd say something about holding your stance in place and staying on steady feet, but if you watch their tapes most of them pretty much fall over their own feet swinging for the hills. Fecking Wilder looks like a technician compared to some of those guys.

Today's boxers get scolded if they break stance, lean into a punch too much or lower their guard. The old timers look like they were trying to hold their pants up while breaking down a door with their head.

Anyone who says Floyd would beat Robinson is talking out their ass and clearly hasn't seen prime Robinson.

Look at this footage of him in his prime taken from ringside (rare)

So boxing professionals who saw everyone from Greb to Armstrong to Joe Louis to JRR to Ali and say that Greb is a TOP 5 of that period - and you think its BS because of a promotional video. Funny how cross-training, kettlebells, core training has come back to the forefront.

Imagine a 20 year old starting to box professionally in 1915; retires at 35 in 1930 and works as a ring man - trainer for another 40 years. The man has seen a lot of talent. A lot of guys that saw all the greats consider Greb to be among them.
