Cotto is going to be a bloody mess, back peddling like Kahn against Peterson looking like an ice skater in the Sochi Olympics. It's not to late homie, se your head to make this decision, go with Martinez, it's not too late to make the switch.
My PR heart? Not Rican. Sergio is losing them titles come June 7th.

No, Sergio is used to being a slick boxer against bigger guys. Big difference between being a slick boxer, and getting physical with somebody. He is bigger than cotto, but when was the last time cotto fought somebody that wasnt bigger than him. He's no stranger to somebody having a height, weight and reach advantage. Cotto gets on the inside, gets physical, and does work.

And I'm not so sure martinez is stronger than cotto. But in any case, I like how you are setting the stage of excuses for martinez.

lol, he looks two weight classes bigger than Cotto. Look at his arms, legs and chest. He's 3 inches taller than him and remember that Cotto is a small 154.

Martinez is much bigger and that will cause problems for Cotto, believe that.

I can't believe there is one fan in the world who would favor Cotto, except for PR loyal fans !

Cotto is a retired man who boxes for money, Cotto loses badly even against Canelo, Martinez may kill him !

Cotto should have retired, even before Mayweather fight, he has no business in the ring !

I gives Martinez Zero credit for K.O Cotto, it is a good tune-up fight, nothing more, I don't feel any hyped for this mismatch, I am just happy to see Martinez back to the ring !

The only reason I think it might be competitive is because Martinez is 39 years old. He looked bad in his last 2 fights, but those were against guys as big or bigger than him.

I just feel if Martinez is anywhere close to form, with his advantage of size and speed, Cotto is in trouble. If he comes in looking like he did though, it could be competitive.

What 2 fights ?! Martinez put an epic show in his fight against cruiserweight Chavez Jr., he beats him again in a rematch anytime, there is a huge gap in skills here !

Yes, Martinez lost his fight against Murray, even without the 2nd K.D for Murray, but it is not because Martinez getting old over night, or Chavez Jr. ruined him ! it is because the huge pressure of Argentina crowd and finally getting the recognition for the first time after decade of fighting abroad + rain and slippery canvas + Murray is a very good boxer indeed

It is not an achievement to K.D Martinez, the man is getting KDed in every single fight d2 his style of boxing and fighting with oversized monsters for years !

I see Martinez today exactly the same as pre-chavez fight, the aging should affect him, but it will be minimal, specially on legs movement speed

he still has the granite chin and hands speed

Cotto case is 100 % different, he is a small guy who is going to feel a different level of cumulative punching power, he is going to retire on stool, he is not a crazy Mexican type of a fighter, he will not risk his health and future, he is smart, believe me, it is going to be a bad mismatch, very bad !

I'm not disagreeing with you but he almost got KO'd by Chavez Jr, lost to Murray and for a while there struggled with Macklin.

I think Martinez wins, but fighters can look old and let's also remember that he's coming off of 2 knee surgeries.
