Not completely agree with you. In law once you declare clear your will you are obligue to this. In Spanish is "declaracion unilateral de voluntad" the legal figure. If your promoter who has a contract with you to represent you and speak for you, make a declaration like the one Gamboa or his promoter did today he has the obligation to respect his word. I am just a lowly 1L and know nothing about the legality of boxing, so you're going to have to keep it simple.(my name is a Love/Hate relationship if you know what I mean. Bueno, las obligaciones o contratos es un tema estatal. Aqui en Puerto Rico existe una obligación que se llama Declaracion Unilateral de Voluntad. Es cuando no hay dudas de lo que dijiste y estan claras todas las partes de la obligación que estas de acuerdo. Si hay ambiguedades no vale. En este caso Gamboa dijo que el acepta cualquier bolsa sin reparos. Es una declaracion clara sin ambiguedad y por lo tanto Mickey se lo puede reclamar en un Tribunal si luego el dice por ejemplo que no acepta menos de $500,000. Cuando es claro, sin que queden dudas de lo que dijo se le puede exigir sin problemas y esta obligado

El contrato de mandato es diferente. Hay que analizar y ver el contrato que Gamboa tiene con el mandatario. Si el contrato dice que solo el mandatario puede negociar Gambia no puede beneficiarse pero Mickey si. Si Mickey no conoce ese contrato y cree lo que dijo Gambia sin saber que Gambia no podia hablar aun asi Mickey puede reclamarle. Por eso esa declaracion a nombre de Gamboa lo vincula muy fuertemente porque fue clara y sin ambiguedades.
Lo que Gamboa no puede es beneficiarse si Mickey reclama que el mandato no le permitia hablar. Lo que el diga lo vincula con otro pero no en lo que le ayude. En PR hay un registro de poderes que ayuda mucho. Tambien hay que ver si el poder es general o especifico
