Doesn't seem to make sense, does it? I can't imagine how Gamboa could even think to ask for more than Mikey, let alone 50% more. Then again, stranger things have happened. I think, to avoid any more controversy, and get this fight made, 50-50 sounds fair.

If anything Mikey is the one pricing himself out. He knows Gamboa is a risky fight so he probably wants a huge purse to take that risk. Remember he was the one saying "the money has to be right" "Gamboa needs me more than I need him" etc.
He called him out twice to look like a warrior but when Gamboa called his bluff he started to make excuses.

Let's be real 50-50 isn't close to fair. Gamboa's last few fights were uneventful, and he hasn't been active.

Mikey is considered one of the fastest rising stars in the game. Gamboa is trying to get payed, I get that but I don't see 50-50 being close to fair. More like 70-30.

Gamboa is close to being irrelevant right now.
