Comments Thread For: Froch Not Happy Over Groves Demand For Neutral Officials

Carl Froch has branded George Groves "paranoid" for demanding neutral officials for the pair's super-middleweight world-title rematch at Wembley in May.

Groves complained of bias to the British Boxing Board of Control after referee Howard Foster stopped November's first title bout in the ninth round, handing controversial victory to defending champion Froch.

Londoner Groves will refuse to fight Froch at Wembley on May 31 unless the BBBofC grant his demand for non-British officials.

Very shady coming from Froch. At least Canelo didn't defend his controversial stoppage win like Froch did.

I wanted groves to win but when taking clean punches and swinging for the heavens you give the ref a decision to make

Yeah, but Canelo wasn't just about to knock Angulo out.

Anyway, Froch has a point, Groves is putting the fight at risk if he insists on this. The BBBoC can just say 'no', leaving Hearn running to Luxembourg like Warren for Chisora-Haye.

British officials are neutral, Groves wants foreign officials. BBBoC might not be so keen.

I hope there's mandatory PED testing too. Froch looked like he was on something when he fought Bute.
Bute has had ample opportunity to activate his rematch clause.

"I'm sure they could ... refuse to sanction the fight. If that happens it wouldn't be able to happen on British soil."

****ing hell, I didn't know Upton Park wasn't British soil. I can't believe those hackney c*nts seceded just so Chisora and Haye could fight.

Froch can be a bit dim sometimes.

Groves was about to get KO'd? That's a stretch, he was coming forward and still had his hands up when he was stopped.

The stoppage was MUCH more questionable than Canelo/Angulo. Angulo was never in the fight.

Froch will get his butt kicked no matter what kind of officials they have.
