It's just business. For whatever reason you wish to blame or credit, the Cuban boxers just don't attract casuals. The defense-based fighting style that they're known for is unpleasant to watch for most people. Unfortunately for the sport, the majority of casual fans don't want to watch unknown guys "running" around the ring for 3 minutes at a time.

Can someone please explain this to me???
Lara has been fighting..as a matter of fact he has a fight lined up..

NOBODY wants to see Abril "fight" not even his own mother.

Rigo is the only Cuban that's getting ducked.

NOBODY is scared of lil' Lara..what is he gonna do but back-peddle all night?

style, lack of english speaking coupled with the lack of an ethnic fanbase [mexicans, pinoys, PR, etc,] size in the case of rigondeaux, age by the time they defect and turn pro, the list goes on.

they're kind of a perfect storm for not getting fights when you add that some of them are very good, and southpaws.

They are boring, nobody wants to see people run and retreat inside a ring. It's as simple as that.

Mikey Garcia is now being lined up for Pacquiao. That could have been Gamboa if he stayed with Top Rank and fought Rios.
