And whens the last time Gamboa fought??? 50 cent is really doing his fighters dirty. Just uses boxing to keep himself relevant.

it's been explained plenty of times.

style, lack of english speaking coupled with the lack of an ethnic fanbase [mexicans, pinoys, PR, etc,] size in the case of rigondeaux, age by the time they defect and turn pro, the list goes on.

they're kind of a perfect storm for not getting fights when you add that some of them are very good, and southpaws.

Gamboa had a big fight lined up against Rios, that fight would have helped him become a mainstream boxing star, he could have even fought Pacquiao down the line (had he won). Pulling out was the biggest mistake of his career.

I think Gamboa knew a fight with rios at lw was dangerous cuz he's tiny! 130 is the most he should fight at. Forget about anything higher.

Some of them or just to good for there own good it is the curse of the gifted!!! Rigondeaux beat any one of the fighters in his division!!! Lara is a handful for anyone @ 154 !!! Gamboa would give Mikey Garcia nightmares he is just the better fighter and athlete!!! If he wasn't the fight would have been happened!! To Much SKILLS AND NOT A LOT OF MONEY$$$$¥¥££!! Sad case!!!

Because they are high risk low reward,, it's just not Cuban fighters,, Miguel Vasquez, Forrest, winky, Hopkins were all in that category at one point in their career

The difference in skill and athleticism could have made up for the difference in size. Gamboa even called out Pacquiao (who was and still is a WW) before the Rios negotiations.
