I find it extremely annoying when the mayweathers talk about knocking their opponent out. It's just not going to happen unless he pays them off like he did with Ortiz.

Only way this happens is if Maidana runs out of gas late after frequently missing with wild swings.

Stylistically Khan is a much more challenging fight for Floyd. Maidana will be a very easy fight. Not to mention Khan already beat Maidana but either way styles make fights and Maidana's style and speed will be far easier for Floyd to deal with than Khan would be. This is one of the main reasons he chose Maidana - it'll be one of the easiest fights Floyd has had for years.

If Floyd wasn't so conservative he'd have more stoppages on his record. He can stop Maidana. Will he? He'll probably be too safety conscious. Again. Unless Maidana drops his hands and looks at the ref of course.

no, khan is easier, he has been looking like shit in the last 2 years, that's why floyd didn't choose him, marcos is currently a champion and after losing against devon his career has gone north. and current marcos beats the living shit out of any version of amir khan

Anything is possible in this sport but I doubt Floyd stops Maidana. The current version of Mayweather doesn't put many punches together and doesn't press the action when his opponent is hurt. It is likely that Maidana eats a ton of single right hand leads and possibly gets stunned a few times. Floyd probably won't follow those shots up though.

Maidana has been hurt to the body a few times but you still have to go in there and finish him and that can be risky. He won't go quietly and he has a mean streak when he gets hurt.

Khan already beat Maidana so we don't need a fantasy match up on that one. The fight already happened and Khan won. Pretending like it didn't happen won't change that fact. Khan already beat Maidana, and that's when Maidana was fresher and more dangerous.

Current Maidana is no better than the one Khan already beat, just watch the first round of the Khan fight and you can see that Maidana tried every move and technique against Khan that he did against Broner. From ducking low, feinting to the body while going to the head (the punch that caused the first knockdown on Broner) to using the jab, to wide peripheral shots, Maidana is the same fighter. He's actually not quite as good now because he's been in a few wars since Khan beat him. You're buying into the hype thinking he's somehow improved.

He would take more L's too then if he fight that way. anything aside from a KO in this fight will be a mission failed.
