It's basically like half the reason people are rooting for Taylor is the assumption that Wright's a boring fighter, as ignorant a statement as that can be.

Exactly. Jermain's a lot better thrower than Soliman and his footwork is more refined. People don't seem to credit him for owning the ring the vast majority of the time in both Hopkins fights. Winky won't have a good place to hide and turtle, and unlike Soliman Jermain knows how to land a clean, effective punch. So Taylor by UD.

Sam Soliman has one of the most awkward styles in boxing, he'd give Jermaine Taylor a hard time, possibly beat him on points if the judges called it fairly. There is a very big difference between Soliman and Taylor.
