Mares is making the wise decision though should just come out and say he doesn't want the bout now rather than drag it out. Just admit that Miura is too big of a challenge and let the Japanese "Mexecutioner" get a rematch with Uchiyama like most of us actually want!

Maybe next year Mares v Miura and Leo Santa Cruz v Yamanaka (who once again suggested he'd like his chances against Leo) in a major Mexico v Japan card in Las Vegas. Something however tells me the Mexicans don't fancy their chances.

Mares should have been 100% focused on the rematch but he is obviously gun shy.

MARES has absorbed very bad his loss and i don't understand why;a KO in the first round means nothing indeed because the fight could go in opposite way;WHO CAN'T SAY THE CONTRARY? He has to find again his confidence soon and FIGHT like he is able to do!!!

I'm not sure if Mares should move up any further without resolving his loss. He's gonna be one of the shortest at the weight and it's not like he has much power to begin with.

Must of saw Yeyo put a beating on LilBig bro and realize that was the guy Miura beat.

Miura would end whatever prime Mares has left even if he were to somehow pull a dec out he's taking punishment from a significantly larger foe.

As for the Gonzo rematch that is a horrible matchup due to style.

Miura is a bad matchup due to size.

That Gozalez's left hook brought the b*tch in Mares. He fakes an injury, then he says he would had not face a tough a opponent for a comeback, now he will not fight Miura. I think Mares just got the Donaire sindrome!

I don't understand why Mares would want to move up to 130. When he's already a small fighter at 126. Maybe he got whipped by Gonzalez back in the day in they're sparring sessions. Then he got blitz in the first round of their fight last year against Gonzalez. Mares is scared of Gonzalez.
